Save Money by Paying Your Bills Online

Bills online

If you’re wondering how to start saving money today, one way can be to simply switch from paying your bill over the phone or by check, and just pay your bills online! It really is that simple to start, and many people do not even realize how simple it is. From my experience, some companies will charge me to pay my bill over the phone and that even includes my car payment! Even if it’s as low as $5 a call, that can add up fast through out the year. Just imagine if all your companies charge you to do this! By switching to paying my bills online, I have saved an easy $200 a year.

Look for Incentives in Unexpected Places

I would say 9 times out of 10, there are companies that allow you to pay your bills online. Some companies will even offer incentives to change from paper billing to electronic billing. I was able to receive a $10 credit from my student loan payment to just switch to receiving online payments. How I found out my company offered this was simple;  I signed up for an online account. If I hadn’t, I would have never known about the offer! They even offered an incentive to use auto deduct for a credit.

Call For a Deal if You Can’t Find One

If you’re not sure if a company you are using are offering any deals or incentives, you could always give them a call or e-mail their customer service line. Even services like Comcast internet or Verizon may have some sort of deal for you!

Check Your Mail for Savings

When you receive you bill in the mail, sometimes they come with new offers. I’ve been able to find a deal where I can not only reduce my costs of cable, but even received a $200 gift card  incentive to switch to sign up for an online account and switch to auto deduct payments. This may not be for everyone, but the point being that sometimes even on your bills, or stuffed in the envelopes, or more deals. So I may have received $200 in an American Gift Card, but I also saved a years worth of cable TV costs!
